For thirty years this community walked through my door, trusted me with their work, and kept my business alive. I feel like I have to give back to the community.
I am not a politician. I am someone who spent three decades making decisions, managing money, solving problems and being accountable for all of it. That is what I want to bring to council.

Hello, LaSalle. I'm Ivana White. I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I've owned International Art Designs here in LaSalle for almost 30 years, and I've heard your concerns, and I've decided to run for council.
I want to be your voice. Why? Because you supported me all these years, and now I'd like to give back to you.
Because I've been in business for so many years, I'm a strong advocate for local business. Every business matters in a community, whether you're home based or a brick and mortar store.
I'd like to be your voice. It's time to give back and I'd like to return the favor, because you supported me all these years.
Thank you to everyone who came to Amici, sat down with me and told me what matters on their own street. That is the whole reason for doing this.
Every dollar the Town spends comes from a household in LaSalle. I operated a business where I had to justify every expense to myself before I signed for it. My focus will be on careful budgeting and finding efficiencies so we can keep taxes as stable as possible for residents.
Roads, drainage and basic maintenance are not glamorous, and they are exactly what people notice every single day. Getting the fundamentals right is the job.
Development, traffic, policing, parks — these decisions should be judged on one test. Does this make life better for the people who already live here?
In a town election, a familiar name on a familiar street does more than any advertisement. If you are willing to host a sign, I will bring one to you.

Sometimes business introduces you to people who become part of your story.
Eight years ago, when A Step Above Wellness Centre® was still a dream I was working incredibly hard to build, I had my little business in the plaza in LaSalle.
That’s where I met Ivana White.
What started as a business relationship very quickly became a friendship—and Ivana became one of the first people who truly believed in my dream.
She supported me, encouraged me and believed in what I was trying to build long before A Step Above Wellness Centre® grew into what it is today. I have never forgotten that.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of getting to know Ivana not just as a businesswoman, but as a mother and a friend. I’ve seen her work ethic, her attention to detail and the pride she takes in her community and the businesses within it.
Eventually, I made the difficult decision to leave LaSalle so that A Step Above Wellness Centre® could grow into a larger location. Five years later, I’m incredibly grateful for that growth—but there are moments when I really wish I hadn’t had to leave LaSalle. This is one of them.
Since I no longer live in LaSalle, I don’t get a vote. But I do get to share my experience with someone who believed in me when I was just starting out.
And because I know my friend so well, I can already hear Ivana saying: “Fawn, put your business in there—it’s free advertising!”
There you go, Ivana. I did.

Ivana, thank you for believing in my dream all those years ago. Business may have introduced us, but I’m incredibly grateful that it gave me such a wonderful friend.
